Hair tip + Vlog tomorrow

Hey! I'm blogging really quickly on my phone tonight and I apologize for being MIA the past weekish. Anyways!

Hair tip: after straightening your hair, LIGHTLY mist with hairspray, comb, LIGHTLY mist again and then your straightened hair will not only stay straight the whole day, but it will have a soft and natural look to it, making people think your hair is that beautiful and perfect naturally! If you don't spray LIGHTLY or you don't comb it afterwards, it will be either too shiny, hard or just oddly textured. Keep the spray light and comb it and you've got a garanteed new step in your favorite hair routine!

Also, tomorrow I'm going to try to upload a little Vlog, so stay tuned!

See yah.

*apologies for spelling or grammatical errors on this post, like I said, it's coming from my phone.

First of all, I thought I was going to be attending Thanksgiving dinner without my parents because my mom was sick.  That made me so sad, because what is Thanksgiving without your parents?  Fortunately, things turned around and they made it to dinner.  That was a definite "I'm so thankful." moment!

Second of all.  I did not take any pictures... because I'm such a horrible person.  Hey!  Nobody else was taking pictures, either though.  So, that kind of sucked.  Especially since it was Morgana's first Thanksgiving.  Oh well!

Third of all.  This is how I went looking like to Thanksgiving dinner:

I was wearing a blue shirt with pretty embellishments along the middle and it tied in the back.  I wore a black tank under it, blue jeans, black pumps and a fur coat. (sorry, don't know where I got all of the clothes, except I remember the tank was from Forever 21) I ended up taking the pumps off and changing into flats after just walking to the car in them killed me.

I do NOT apologize for the crappy pictures.  They were all taken with my phone as you can see, and I do not feel like editing pictures one bit this morning.

I'm not that pink, I promise.  I had a feather-ish thing in my  hair.

Makeup and hair were normal

Fur coat!

After Turkey, Tatoes, Green bean casserole, fruit salad, green gunk, cranberry sauce (forgot to type that by the turkey, too lazy to correct it), salad, razzleberry pie, pumpkin pie, my cheesecake (WHICH EVERYONE LOVED AND SAID I'M BRINGING EVERY YEAR NOW!), pumpkin roll, and Doug's awesome coffee cake.

I ate too much.  Three pieces of pie, pumpkin roll and coffee cake all in one seating almost killed me.
It was so good.

The party we went to after, I did not eat anything.  I simply fell asleep on the couch.
And when we got home at 9pm, I crashed until 9:30 this morning.  I have not slept in like that in months.  It felt amazing.

So yeah, my Thanksgiving was pretty great.  I'm thankful for all the things I stated yesterday, along with the leftovers we brought home today.... and my followers who read my blog. :)

I hope everyone had a happy holiday.

I made my pie for tomorrow's dinner!  Now it's cooling on the counter before I put it in the fridge.  Tomorrow before I go, I'll top it with blueberries and homemade whipped cream!  #Excited.

A Little Story In Pictures!

So today was alright.

Then, I had to rush to the grocery store to pick up my things to make a pie to take to Thanksgiving dinner this week because I couldn't get it sooner due to stupid things going wrong with my bank.  Ugh!  Anyways.  It was a jump around pulling jeans on, shoving arms into a coat and throwing a purse over my shoulder despite a messy hair day and 0 makeup and run out the door trip.  So I ran out of the house looking like this:

Blah, right?  Then, I shopped.  I wanted to make my pie with blackberry, but they were out of blackberry pie topping, of course.  So I got blueberry stuff again.

Then I came home, relaxed a bit, ate dinner, did some stuff, and then took this picture during some procrastination time.

Then I finally did my last assignment for a certain class.
(can't you tell my face is so sarcastically happy?!)

Then I rocked out in happiness because I finished two classes today.

BOOYAH! That was a day in the life of me.  Sort of..
Maybe one day I'll do one of those "follow me around for a day" blogs.
Anyways, but yeah today was pretty awesome in weird ways.

and i'm going to go eat some popcorn now and watch tv because i deserve it, right amy? ;)

Want to see my gorgeous best friend that has stuck by me for years and years?  If you've read my blog all the way, you've already seen some pictures.  But she's gotten even more gorgeous, people.
So first, my favorite picture ever of her:
Those big brown eyes.

And my second favorite picture of her:
Why is that my second favorite? BECAUSE YOU'RE FINALLY HAPPY, AMES.  You're totally stressed, but I can smell your happiness ;D I'm so happy that you made SBO this year, because it's totally made you confident and even more amazing than before, Girly.

Anyways, sorry for creepin you out, Amy, and goodnight, blogspot.

Future, bleh.

I've never been one of those people that has NO idea what they even want to do for a career.  I have always had EVERY idea of what I want to do.  I want to do everything.  My longest dream has been to be an English teacher.  My second longest dream has been to be an actress.  My third longest dream has been to be a dancer.  My fourth longest dream has been to be a chef.  My fifth longest dream has been to be a photographer.  My sixth longest dream has been to be a nurse.  I could go on forever, I swear.

My biggest problem with being an English teacher is that it has nothing to do with my biggest enjoyment, performing.  English is a very dear subject to me, but I've always wanted to share my art with the world, not lecture in a classroom for scrap money.  I've been thinking lately, that maybe I could be an online English teacher, because that doesn't involve as much work and it can be a side job while I have a big career.  The thing is.. teaching requires college... with a minimum of four years unless I complete enough AP classes, which is not going to happen.  If I want to have a big career while being an online teacher, that means I have to go to college for both things and I have to spend forever in school....  and shhh... I really don't like school.

I also really want to be an actress or a dancer.  I've kind of mushed the two together for my dreams, though.  I'm thinking since I want to do stage acting, I'll probably do a lot of musicals, which involve dancers and dancing.  So that balances itself out, which is nice because being a dancer is a short career.  The thing is though, for acting, I want to take it really seriously if I do it.  I probably want my masters degree for it, which would be a LOT of school for me, but most likely really worth it.  GAH!  However, once again, I don't want to get my MFA and a bachelors for teaching.  That would take up almost 10 years, if not more.  That is not going to happen.  I don't want to just do acting though, because it's obviously going to take a few years to get started and I don't want to be a broke joke until I make my break through.  I don't really know of any other fields that I would want to go into, though without a college education for it.

I've always wanted to be a chef, photographer and nurse, too.  I am already a photographer, and it's great... but I just can't see doing it forever.  I need my performing arts. <\3  A chef... would be totally awesome, because I absolutely love the art of cooking, but I don't really have much talent in it, and I'm not sure if it would really be a satisfying job.  With being a nurse... the only thing about that option that frightens me is all of the technical education.  I would love to do it to help people, but I'm not sure if I could really ever learn all of the required education... I'm not an academic person, I'm an artist.

Who knows, maybe I'll end up being the next big inventor, or maybe a painter, or maybe even a flight attendant.  I just really hope I can figure out what I'm going to do... and fast.  Thinking about the future?  Bleh.  It gives me a headache.

Blog Changes.

Before I share some news with you, please go over there to that new poll and vote. =>
Thank you.

Ironically, I am changing my blog title to Baby Kates because I feel like I'm getting too old for "Kranberrie's Juicies." I'm titling it Baby Kates, because sometimes I feel like I'm still such a little girl, but now almost all grown up and in a big world that I don't know how to take on.

I fear growing up, I fear my future, because I really don't know how to face it.

So, in respect of my feelings of change, I am re-titling my blog.  I'm no longer "Kranberrie", and this is no longer "Kranberrie's Juicies", I am Kate.  I am just myself on this blog now, not an almost cartoon character journaling about what I think other people want to hear.  Although this will never become my personal diary, this blog is going to become a lot more personal as I take on more and more challenges in the stages of growing up.

So continue to read on my friends, and be prepared to suffer through this journey with me.  I wish myself the best of luck in this upcoming adulthood and I wish you the best of luck in being able to keep up with me.

To conclude, (yes, my nerdiness is coming out strong this post) I will also be changing my domain in one month.  It will not be it will be (yeah, yeah, with two s's because simply 'babykates' is never available).  I was going to change it today, but I didn't want to lose all of my readers because of that.  So be prepared to be typing in a new domain into your web address bar on December 20th, 2011.  At the end of all of my posts from now on, I will have a little note at the bottom similar to the one you're about to read.

Rambles, Pictures and a Recipe

I've had a good weekend so far, but I am extremely excited for a shoot that I'm doing for two old friends tomorrow.  It's currently snowing here, and although some people (meaning the entire world) would disagree, snow is absolutely amazing.  Winter is my favorite season because of snow.  Sure, it causes driving difficulties and anxieties, and can be a pain to scrape off the sidewalk, driveway, car, etc etc.  However, despite all of it's flurries (pun INTENDED), it is an extremely beautiful thing in so many ways.  How snow is formed is beautiful.  The white purity and glistening of snow is beautiful.  The texture is beautiful.  Snow is just an absolute pleasure if you focus on the positive side of it.

I'm so easily distracted.  Anyways- my point.  Snow is a wonderful scenery and I think it's going to make for quite a wonderful shoot.  Plus, the girls that I'm doing this for are just so fun and unique!  I'm absolutely stoked to to this tomorrow.

Enough with the rambles for tonight!  Sheesh.  So anyways, I thought I'd do quite a big post tonight since I haven't been such a faithful or consistent blogger lately.  I've really been wanting to make another tumblr lately because I forgot how fun the pictures are.  So to satisfy that odd anxiety, I'm just going to post some incredibly cute pictures on here.  I hope you all enjoy them!

Now, for a recipe!  I would LOVE to try these!  They're so simple to make, too!  Picture and recipe all belong to Bake at 350

Cranberry Pumpkin Muffins (only 4 ingredients!)

 yield: 15-18 muffins

1 box French Vanilla Cake Mix
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
2 egg whites, beaten with a fork until frothy
heaping 1/2 c. cranberries, fresh or frozen (if frozen, UNthawed)

Preheat oven to 325. Spray or grease 15-18 cups of a muffin tin.

Stir together the cake mix and pumpkin. I usually add 2-3 TBSP water here to loosen things up a bit.

Gently stir in the egg whites and cranberries until incorporated. Spoon into the prepared muffin tins.

Bake for 22-25 minutes, until the centers pop back when lightly pressed.

Don't those just call out your name?  Kaaaaaate....
They're sure calling mine.

Last thing for the night.  A video.  Just for you guys.  :)
WARNING: this is literally the lamest a video can get.
I tried doing a little dance tutorial, a song cover, TONS of things.
The best video I got though, was a really, extremely, horrible speech.
About bullying.
So yeah.
I'm sorry.
But hey, I really wanted to do a video for you guys.  And this stuff came from the heart. :P
Here x)

I taught Morgana how to listen to music through my earphones. x) She misses her ear in the end of this video, but in the beginning she's listening to it right. :)

Thank GOD for brothers!

Just in case any of you didn't know, I have a brother.  Named Tyler.  And he's the for real.

You know why?  Well, because he knows how to play handball and that's a fun game.  (EVEN THOUGH I COMPLETELY SUCK AT THAT GAME SO BADLY OHMYGOSH) Oh, and because the other day when we were at the handball court, he had all four of the balls in his hands and he was standing next to me, he looked at me with a straight face, then threw all of the balls in the air and ran away.  So I was stuck scattering all over the court avoiding getting hit by the balls and trying to catch them all at the same time.  And that was a lot of fun.

I haven't posted anything personal like that in a long time.  It felt good!

So anyways, the BIGGEST reason that he's awesome is because he has all of the music in the world.  The other day he brought over a flash drive with all of his Escape the Fate music on it and downloaded it to my computer for me. :') OH, and of course some Linkin Park, an Avenged Sevenfold album I didn't own and Bring Me the Horizon.  He's going to bring over even more music soon, and I'm stoked.  Escape the Fate is my favorite band (besides KISS) and I didn't own ANY of their music at ALL before he brought it over the other day!  Now I can finally do dishes and sweep floors and go running while jamming out to Escape the Fate!  Seriously, music is my chizzing life.  The feelings that ETF fill me with are just absolutely indescribable and breathtaking.

Have you never heard this life changing band?! Well if you haven't, you're a loser.  Just kidding, kind of.  Here are a few of the songs that have been on repeat for me lately:

#1- You Are So Beautiful by ETF

#2- Not Good Enough For Truth In Cliche

#3- Friends and Alibis

My novel and stuff...

So, to start out this post, I'm going to say that the writing I will be showing you guys is JUST a rough draft.  I have not done ANY editing to any of my novel yet.

Anyways.  Since I haven't had much to blog about lately, I thought I'd entertain you guys with ONE page from my novel.  It's the very first page, and I probably shouldn't be showing anyone this until it's finished, but I'm so in love with it, I just have to share a tiny sliver of the novel.  So... here you go.  Remember, ROUGH DRAFT.

Oh, and this novel has no title yet.  I'm not going to title it until I finish the book.  After I finish the book, I'm going to have somebody read it, ask what they think it should be called based on what they read, title the book with their first suggestion, and dedicate the book to them.

Page One, Chapter One

Millie rolls over and sighs, hugging her blankets.  Even though she’s laying in one of the most expensive beds in the world, she can’t seem to get comfortable.  Every time she sticks a leg out of the blankets to get cool, she gets cold.  With the blankets on, she’s too hot.  She swings both of her legs over the bed and into her slippers.  As Millie’s eyes adjust to the darkness, she fumbles into her silk robe and heads down the spiraling stairs to the foyer.

The doors creak as Millie turns the locks and steps outside.  She sighs inwardly, loving the fresh air.  She walks around the corner to sit down against the wall of her house, picking at the grass and staring up at the stars.  Far in the distance ahead of her, she can see the horse stables.  She ponders over taking a walk to visit her horse.  Millie confirms her decision, knowing that even farther in the distance there are plenty of guards at the gate, protecting her home from creepy strangers that could attack her.

As Millie arrives at the stables, she peers in to locate her horse.  “Hey there, Magic.” She whispers, spotting the beautiful stallion in no time.  On her short walk down the stables to Magic, she stumbles over something and falls face first into the hay-covered ground. A hand falls on her shoulder, helping her up and a frightened scream escapes from Millie’s mouth.  I was wrong, there are creepy strangers out here! I’m going to die! Millie thinks, scurrying along the ground, trying to stand back up and escape from whoever touched her.  A handsome face appears in front of hers as she begins to stand.

“Shhh…It’s alright, I’m just the stable boy.”  The face says softly.  Millie stares at the crouching man as she catches her breath.  Then she laughs.  She can’t stop laughing.  She falls backwards onto the ground again, laughing hysterically.  She sighs to catch her breath and stares at the ceiling.  “You scared the life out of me.”  She mutters, still giggling the slightest bit.  His hand reaches out to her, and she stands up all of the way.

“I’m so sorry you tripped over me, I was just trying to get a little sleep.  Are you okay….your highness?” The stable boy asks Millie with a concerned raise in his eyebrows.  I smile rises in her throat at his address towards her.  “You don’t need to ‘your highness’ me, just call me Millie.  And yes, I’m okay.”

“Millie,” He grins. “I’m very happy to meet you.  You’re the oldest daughter, right?” He doesn’t give her a chance to reply.  “Well, I’m Benjamin.. and I’m pleased to be at your service if you’ve come out here for a certain reason this evening.”

Millie laughs again and tilts her head at him.  She doesn’t remember ever seeing him around the land before, but it’s not like she gets out of the house much.  “I just couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d come say hello to my pretty horse.  To be honest with you, I really had no idea we even had a stable boy!”  Benjamin smiles and gestures to the ground, sitting down.  Millie carefully sits next to him.

“Your parents just recently sent me a letter of acceptance, so I haven’t been here too long.”  Benjamin looks into Millie’s eyes, giving her belly a tingly feeling.  “So, tell me, how come a princess like you is having trouble sleeping?  I thought you girls had everything you wanted.”

End of Page One, Chapter One

So yeah.  I've had this idea for this book in my head for YEARS and I've tried writing about it before, but I could never get it out right.  This time when I tried, it all just poured out of me in passion and imagination, and then I decided that this will be my first novel.
If you have any criticism at all for me, do not hesitate to leave it in the comment box.  I love all of your opinions and any suggestions or anything would definitely be appreciated.  That's all for now, and I'll try to blog about something soon.

     See ya.

I'm trying to think of something to blog about lately.

The only news I have is that I added two new pictures to my "Pictures" page over there ----->

...Maybe I'll post some of the writing from my novel or something soon, cause there's really not a lot to blog about.

See you soon! I hope.
