Last Post...

I am now announcing that I am leaving Blogspot... for good.

DON'T WORRY! This is actually my Christmas present to YOU! (followers) I have a new blog!  It's at Wordpress.  I made a new blog with them because it's a bit more easier to twist and adjust than Blogspot.  It's more like a website with customizable features than Blogspot is.  Blogspot is just a blog website, but Wordpress is used for actual websites, so it's a bit more professional.

So here it is!
Yes, it's a bit lonely over there so far.  I made a post a month-ish ago and then spent some time tweaking the settings and backgrounds and stuff.  Now it's ready to be used!  So while it may be boring over there right now, it's going to be transformed into awesome really soon!  Stay tuned over there!  I will be keeping my posting schedule up on that blog so you will always be able to count on when I'll be posting!

I hope you enjoy!

I'm going to leave this blog as it is.  I'm not going to delete it.  I'm not going to post anymore, though.  In a few days I will make one last post to direct you over to my new blog, but other than that, this blog is going to rest!  See you on Wordpress!

A few pictures to hold you over!  I might not get Christmas pictures up until Tuesday or Wednesday because I'm going to stay at my Nana's tonight until Tuesday.  So, I apologize!  Here are a few photos I already took with my shiny, new, amazing, beautiful camera!

GUESS WHO GOT A CANON SX130IS?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

more later.

My little blessing.

I am so thankful for my baby sister, it's ridiculous.  I can never even imagine my life without her.  She is my life.  Today she walked for all of us for the first time.  And then.... she did it again and again a million times.  I got a short video of her taking about two steps on her own, but today she managed to take four steps at once on her own.  She is growing up so fast.  This is the best Christmas ever.

Christmas Eve!

Merry Christmas Eve!  Or happy holidays if you don't celebrate Christmas! (:

I've had a great day!  I gave many people special happy holiday notes and I got a ton of "Oh Kate."s!  That's a good thing because it was followed each time by a variant of "You're such a wonderful and big hearted girl."  I feel bad that I can't see all of my friends this season and give them gifts, so to have at least gave them a bit of joy felt really good.

I hope everyone is enjoying time with their families!  I hope that everyone is enjoying time period.  This is the most wonderful time of the year!  Embrace it.  ♥

I made Santa's cookies today.  I really liked them. It made over two dozen and Santa only needs 3 or 4 so it was okay that we all ate a few already.  The cookies were a bit more chewy and seemed like they had too much brown sugar, but it was definitely a very good recipe!  I'll hopefully share it with all of you soon.

Anyways, I'd better get going, I still have a bit of stuff to do, but I thought I would wish my followers a happy holiday.  My favorite part of this season so far has been that I've warmed other's hearts and I feel like a good person again.  I'm genuinely happy today.  I like that.

One last thing.  I know that tomorrow is Christmas and the holidays are almost over, but I just wanted to share a perfume.  I've been thinking about them lately and I realized something.  There's one perfume that I've owned that absolutely everyone that I ever let wear it or that smelled it on me when I wore it fell in love with this perfume.  It's got such a gorgeous and luxurious smell, and people would tell me I literally smell like heaven when I wore it.  I found the sticker on the bottom of my empty bottle, looked it up and found it on Amazon.  I'm not sure what actual company you can find it from or if it's even still available from them, but here it is:
Anybody that ever receives this perfume will be so happy and feel so pampered.  It's the most amazing smell in the world.

Happy holidays!  Stay safe, enjoy your family, listen to music, indulge in food and just overall remember to enjoy the season because it will be over soon!

5 Days Of Holiday Tips!

The tip for today is staying positive during the crazy madness of preparing for Christmas/holidays you celebrate.

I think a lot of people struggle with this.  So much baking, wrapping, wallet empty-ing and stressful things go on during this season.  It can really exhaust a person and wipe their smile gone.  Though it does usually pay off when those kids are tearing open their presents and have sticky faces from homemade cinnamon rolls, it would be nice to be able to still be happy before Christmas.

So how do we keep those pretty smiles upon our faces during the hectic time of preparing for holidays?  It's pretty simple, actually.  Music.  Listen to it on the radio, your phone, your iPod, a boombox, whatever.  Listen to your favorite band or singer and really try to get into it.  While you're baking, sing at the top of your lungs or dance around.  It will help so much!  It's probably my favorite trick for staying happy.  If this doesn't help, just forcing yourself to think of the positive side of a situation is the best you can do.

I hope this helps at least a few people out there!

Happy Holidays!  Stay safe, please!

5 Days Of Holiday Tips!

The tip for today is a few videos on DIY gifts!

I hope this post doesn't make it feel like I'm slacking!  I just didn't really know what to do for today's tip and then I thought I'd share some of my favorite DIY gift videos!  So here they are!

5 Days Of Holiday Tips!

The tips for today is staying fit during the holiday season!

Here are a few things to help you maintain (or even develop) a nice, healthy figure during the holiday season when there are loads of treats and food around tempting you 24/7!
  • Eat a little of everything throughout the day.  Go ahead and have multiple yummy foods that make you feel guilty- just moderate how much.  Instead of having a heaping scoop of potatoes and gravy, a large square of that Christmas lasagna and three festive chocolate strawberries, have a little bit of everything that looks good.  You will get full, you'll get to indulge on more foods you enjoy and you won't be eating too much of that one diet-breaker Christmas treat.
  • Drink water.  All day long, have a full glass of water with you.  Keep it with you everywhere you go and you'll end up mindlessly sipping it down.  Drink as much water as you can stand, because this will help you to both keep hydrated and feel more full.  You won't necessarily fill up on the water, but you won't be starving when all of those delicious steaming dishes come out of the kitchen and you won't be as tempted to go crazy and eat until you're undoing that top button.
  • When it comes to desserts and foods other than the main dishes of the main course, stick to things you usually won't get at any other time of the year.  Don't munch on those chips that you probably already snack on at home on a weekly basis.  Stay away from those rolls that you can have at any dinner.  Eat things that are unique to the occasion and you'll be surprised at how much this can help with staying fit for the season.  You will also end up thoroughly enjoying your meal a lot more with everything you eat being special.
  • Do a little exercise here and there.  This tip is probably on every "Stay fit during the holidays!" site and post out there.  However, I have a secret for you.  My secret is jump roping.  Yes, I know you're not in grade school anymore, but jump roping is almost better for you than running.  Celebrities actually use this trick more often than you'd think, too.  Every couple of hours (or every hour if you're feeling ambitious) go outside or to a big area and jump for a good, solid five minutes.  If you don't have a jump rope, they're extremely inexpensive, or you can just pretend.  It's just as effective if you make sure to pretend to turn the ropes with your wrists (not your elbows- watch out, you will probably do this in the beginning) and you don't slack off on jumping as high as you'd really have to.  Doing 5-10 sessions of this every day (or rather, every day that you're off doing holiday activities and can't tend to your usual workout sessions) will REALLY help to keep you fit during the holidays.  This is probably one of the best things you can do during this time of year.  It will tone your entire body.  It's not a bad idea to make this an everyday thing during every season, either.  Just make sure to advance your time every week so you're not doing the same exercise forever- your body will get used to that and stop progressing from it!  Anyways.  Jump roping is the best.  ♥♥♥
I hope these tips are helping you through the holiday season!  If you have any requests, leave them in the comments below.  Till next time!

5 Days Of Holiday Tips!

The tip for today is neighbor/classmate/employee gifts!

Snowman bars!
Hershey's bars simply wrapped in white paper with a drawn on eyes, nose, mouth, hat and scarf!

I can't remember where I found this idea.  All I remember is that the place I saw this used full sized candy bars, which would have been $1 per person, and that would have added up into the $30s and I'm already broke.  So I just bought a bag of mini Hershey's bars with the flavors of original Milk Chocolate, Cookies N Cream and chocolate with some sort of cookie crisps in it, I can't remember the name and all of my little bars are wrapped into snowmen so I can't go figure it out.

So, yeah.  It's a really simple idea.  If you're buying treats for neighbors or members at a Christmas party, or even want a cute and unique stocking stuffer, these little guys will be your holiday miracle!  Just purchase a bag of mini Hershey bars (or any candybar you'd like, but make sure to stray from anything with nuts because of allergies and the occasional disliker of any kind of nutty candy!) and cut out squares of white paper, tape them around the bar, and then draw on your decorations!  You could use any color combination and even add glitter.  Yours will probably end up turning out a lot better than mine... I was in a big hurry and I often don't have a steady hand.  So they turned out a little messy.  Still cute, though!  At least I think.  On the back you can write a little note such as "Happy Holidays, from Kate!" (with your own name) or something more personal if you wish.  Then, you can put a couple in a little sandwich baggy, cut off this part:
Then tie a festive ribbon around the top to close the bag and VIOLA! You've got yourself a very cute and professional looking baggy of snowmen bars.  That is totally an amazing trick, the whole sandwich baggy thing.  You'll be thanking me later.

Anyhow!  Like I said, these are very inexpensive, quick and cute for little gifts to hand out to your neighbors or whomever you're fancying for some easy and fun gifts!

I hope you enjoyed today's tip!

Just a little personal update...

I had a few of the little Hershey's bars leftover after making the snowmen!  So I ate some up right away... and threw the rest in a cup of coffee!  I was inspired by this video.  I didn't use the same recipe at all, but I used similar products.  So, do you want a nice white chocolate peppermint mocha?  Made with only a few simple ingredients that you'll already have on hand after making the snowmen bars?  (apologies in advance for the absolutely horrible quality cell phone pictures)

Kate's WCP Mocha

  • Two mini Hershey's bars in the flavor of Cookies n' Cream
  • One mini Hershey's bar in original Milk Chocolate
  • One cup of hot coffee (instant or freshly brewed, doesn't matter)
  • *Optional* Splash of milk
  • *Optional* Dash of sugar
  • *Optional* Whipping cream

  • Prepare your very hot cup of coffee.
  • Crush one candy cane. (or just break off a piece that is as long as the stick part, not including the loop at the top and break it into pieces- what I did)
  • Stir in the candy cane into your coffee until there are no chunks of the candy left in your coffee.
  • Break each mini Hershey's bar into fourths.
  • Stir in Hershey's bar pieces until melted completely.
  • *Optional* add a splash of milk, a dash of sugar and a dollop of whipping cream.
  • *Optional* add the loop of the candy cane that you didn't put in the coffee on the side of the cup for decoration/extra peppermint taste when it melts.
  • Drink your super yummy holiday drink!
(I am so sorry a few of these pictures wouldn't rotate upright)
It was a very delicious drink that I will definitely make again!  I would say it's probably the best WCP mocha I've ever had!  Plus, it's kind of fun!  Hope you liked today's post.

Happy, safe & fun holidays!

5 Days Of Holiday Tips!

I will being doing one tip each day for things like stocking stuffers, cheap gifts, diy gifts, holiday baking and keeping fit during the season.

The tip for today is a mixture of cheap gifts and stocking stuffers!

During the holiday season, we all have a few people who we feel are important enough to receive gifts, but aren't at the top of our high spending+thought list.  A really good thing that I've been noticing is checkout stands.  Almost every single store has some pretty great deals in the checkout isles.

In grocery stores and drug stores, they have candy (always a cheap and easy gift) along with many knickknacks that are actually pretty thoughtful.

In beauty stores, such as makeup and perfume, the checkout isles usually contain a lot of sample and gift sets, which are really nice.  They have a lot of stuff for under $5 that comes in little sample packages that are cute and fun.  Plus, when getting a sample for somebodies gift, it's actually pretty thoughtful as well, because it could contain something they'd never think to buy for themselves but end up falling in love with and purchasing the full size item.

Craft stores are my very favorite when it comes to the checkout isles.  They usually have many things such as festive holiday mugs/cups for under $10 and loads of small items such as notepads, pretty pens, accessories, and even candy for only $1.

You can find some great treasures for only a tiny bit of money in the checkout isles that can be used as a small thoughtful gift or a quick and simple stocking stuffer, so don't hesitate going to the checkout isle without anything to purchase.  You'll find something right there, I promise you.

Just a little personal update...

My best friend, AmyJean♥, was nice enough to invite me to the Jingle Jam at her high school on the 17th.  Compared to the high school dances I've been to, it was pretty empty and calm.  Plus, there was only one slow dance!  It was still amazing though because I got to see some old friends and spend time with them while dancing the night away.  It was great!

The gang of the night(: Man, we all look like elementary school kids.  Why is everybody I know so short?  On the bottom left is Amy, on the bottom right is Emily, on the top right is ME, and on the left next to me is Gano!  Those were the main people I stuck with all night.  I love my friends!

Me and my Ames. ♥ We really are the best of friends.  I love this girl to death.

Before the dance, snapping photos in the restroom!  So excited to see each other after almost a year!

Super silly faces! (:

Me on the left, Gano in the middle, and Jacob Bailey on the right.  Love both of them!  Jacob didn't dance with Amy one time, though.... Darn it!  However, Amy and I did have the one and only first dance together, so he didn't really have the chance to ask her.
At the end of the night, I also gave Amy her Christmas present.  It was a fancy Harry Potter sketchbook (with a handwritten note inside from me on the first two pages!), a quill pen and a bottle of ink.  She loved it and Facebooked that it was one of the best Christmas presents she's gotten!  That made me so happy!  I love giving gifts, it's such a warm feeling when the person really appreciates the thought you've put into something.

I ended up ripping a bit of muscle in my calf that night at the dance, actually.  All day I've been icing my calf on and off, but it's not helping, so I'm just going to lay low on the exercise and stretching until it's to feeling better.

I also went and bought my baby sister's Christmas presents today and wrapped them up!  I suck at wrapping, but it's what's inside that counts, I guess.

Well that's it for now, folks!  In case anybody is wondering, I have quite a few surprises coming on New Year's Day!

Happy Holidays!  Stay Safe & Remember To Smile!

Favorite Song Of The Week!

From now on, every Wednesday is Favorite Song Of The Week day!

I love ALL music, so if you want to be introduced into various artists and genres, stay tuned every Wednesday.  I love Jessie J.  She's a brilliant woman.  I also love this song.  It hits home hard for me and it's got a good sound.  I thank Pandora for inspiring me to do this post.  I had forgotten about this song for around a month, until it popped up on Pandora and made my entire day.

Confusion, Update and Book Bucket List?

So lately whenever I go to, it makes me log in EVERY time. I don't have any settings to be deleting my passwords, and I always click the remember me button. It doesn't even remember my email! I don't understand why Blogspot is doing this to me, you guys! Just around 15 minutes ago, I had Blogspot open in a tab and then other tabs for other stuff open, right? I was planning on clicking over here and blogging in a few minutes. When I clicked back on this tab and hit the button to write a post, it made me log in again. I was so frustrated! None of my other sites are doing this, I just don't understand! So that's my little confusion bit for this post.

I have a little update on my nail goal and my makeup bucket list! I am going to hopefully try to do a little Christmas nail thing tomorrow! If it turns out, I will post pictures and a link to the tutorial I found it from! *Yay!* The update on my makeup bucket list isn't that I've gotten anything yet... unfortunately. However, I am going to get L'oreal Magic Smooth Souffle and use this foundation (unless something random happens and I don't like it) while I'm building up my makeup bucket list.  I've heard so many amazing reviews on it, and a lot of them from people with combination skin like me.  It's pretty much the best drugstore foundation you can ever buy, according to everyone on YouTube and Ulta reviews.  I just thought that it was going to be so hard to not use all of the fun products that I will hopefully be buying for my collection, so I did some research on some really good drugstore products I can use to hold me over.

I am obsessed with Blair and Elle Fowler, you have no idea.  I religiously stalk their YouTubes, blogs, Facebooks, websites, everything.  Yes, they are kind of famous so it's not too weird, but I LOVE them so much!  They are like my beauty goddesses!  Anyways.  I was watching some "Glitteratures" on Elle's vlog account and I realized that I have let my love for reading disappear.  I used to read nonstop and although I don't have the time for that anymore, I should be doing it more.  Whenever I go to the library now, I always get books on dance, science, ASL (yes, I'm learning ASL), physics, whatever.  I get books on things I like to study.  I don't ever read for fun anymore.  I would really like to own a lot more books (and perhaps do reviews of them on here?!), but I don't have the money to be buying three books every few days like Elle.  (Man, those two girls are really rich, let me tell you.) So I was thinking that maybe I won't just be asking for makeup every Christmas and birthday.  Maybe I'll ask for like 3 or 4 books and then everything else I ask for will be makeup.  That sounds good.  I miss reading.

Whoa, I just got very off-topic.  My whole point on that reading thing was to say that I might do a Book Bucket List.  It will not be even close to half as long as my makeup bucket list, but it will include some of the major series and authors that I want to own.  (Well, not own the authors but own a lot of books by them, you know what I mean!) So, I might do that soon.  Definitely not tonight, though!  I'm already thinking of going to bed.  I'm actually going to read in bed, tonight.  I'll be re-reading one of my already owned books, but still!

This post was very unorganized and messy.  I think I might start doing "rough drafts" for my posts, saving them, and then editing them up to be all clean and neat the next day after I've spent some time away from it or something.  I sure ramble a lot and get off topic, so that's probably a good idea.  Hmmm.  (As I ramble on and on...)

Complete, it's complete and I'm swimming in anxiety...

To add onto my over-posting today, I'm making another post to let you guys know that my makeup bucket list is now complete and you can find it in my right sidebar under pages right over there. →

Wow... that list probably generated thousands of dollars worth of products.  I am anxious because it's going to take forever to complete it and it's going to take so much money.  It will be worth it, though.  I just know it.

Makeup Bucket List ♥

Hey!  I know I already blogged today, but tonight I had an idea.  I just have to say that I can spend HOURS, like literally 5+ hours, just watching makeup and beauty tutorials on YouTube.  I've been doing it a ton, lately.  I have always had a fascination with makeup.  The problem was, when I was younger, I obviously didn't have any money and when I asked for makeup for my birthday or Christmases, nobody really took me seriously.  Once I got a huge set of blushes, bronzers and quite a few eyeshadow pallets for my birthday from The Color Workshop.  Other than that though, whenever I asked for makeup, I usually either didn't get it, or I just got really childish stuff.  I'm not ungrateful, WHATSOEVER, I just never got serious makeup items, you know?  So, I never really had the chance to get too into it myself.

So, what I thought of tonight while watching AllThatGlitters21 on YouTube (Elle Fowler!  I love Blair and Elle Fowler so much.) I decided I want to make a makeup bucket list.  I'm going to list all of my must have products for each makeup category.  Whenever I get a bit of extra spending money from now on, I'm going to get one item on the list and cross it off.  (Well, I'll use what I have after saving 20% of that spending money. ;)) The catch is, as hard as it will be, I'm not going to use any of the products until I have the entire bucket list.  That way I can really build a collection.  Yes, it might take me quite a while, but I'm going to do it.  That 20% I'm saving is probably going to be for Ikea items for makeup storage, such as a new vanity table, dressers, mirrors, etc.  Although I do love the vintage vanity I have now passed down from Nana, I'd love to have a more sophisticated area to work in.  I actually hope that one day all of the furniture (and makeup-duh) that I'm going to buy can be put in my very own makeup room when I buy my first house.

I'm super excited to start on this and as soon as I'm done with my post, I will!  It's probably going to take me a couple of hours, but that's okay!  It's more productive than sulking at YouTube videos being jealous of everyone's collections!

There is one thing I'm worried about with this, though.  I know that products get discontinued.  I know that this list is going to take a long time to complete.  So... when I make this list, if I ever go in and add something or edit it because the product has been discontinued, I will put the product in bold.  If I purchase the product, it will be crossed out.  Alright!  Here we go!  Stay tuned for just a few hours to see a new page on my right sidebar containing the list!

Goals for TODAY.

Goals for this week aren't going too well.

Currently broke so there's no healthy snacks, so I've been munching on saltines and cinnamon toast.

I did my nails almost perfectly, even used a base coat and a top coat.  However, the nail polish I'm using is apparently old or something because it chipped off no later than 3 hours after I painted them.

The Blair Fowler eyeliner is too much for me, it doesn't look right and it's a pain to wash off at night since the only eyeliner I have that works for the look is waterproof and smudge proof.

I've been so stressed and tired that I keep forgetting to get my clothes out at night.

The sugar scrub thing is going good I guess, I'm following the goal, but it's actually not helping my skin whatsoever.

So I'm kind of sad about all of those goals... However, I do have some goals for today and tomorrow that I WILL follow.

Today at lunch break, I'm going to shower and re-do my bun. (I'm keeping my hair in a messy bun all the time now to help it stay out of the way from products and heat so it can grow long before the end of January. This is the best thing I've ever done with my hair.)

Then, I'm going to edit five pictures from the Rautis Family shoot.  I'm procrastinating because since my assistant was busy on the day of the shoot and I do not own a camera, I had to borrow one that didn't have the best quality or settings.

Of course I'll eat lunch at lunch break as well.  And do a super quick session of 20 pushups done twice. (I've been slacking on the pushups lately...)

Tonight, I will get half of my vocabulary flashcards done for English.  I'm getting closer to the end of the class, so I need to start studying for the final exam.  I'll tell you, the vocabulary for my current English class is ridiculous, nobody uses any of these words and a lot of them actually seem MADE UP.

I will also take my finger and toe nail polish off.  I'm going to let them be without polish until next week when I try a new painting method.

The last goal for today is to take my stretches to the next level.  I've been doing them the same for a while and I need to make them more intense otherwise I'm never going to get anywhere, I'm just going to stay where I'm at.

My only goal for tomorrow is to wake up on time.  I've been so bad with sleeping in lately.  I can set a million alarms, and I just turn them off every time they go off and go right back to sleep.  I'm not one of those people who once they're awake, they're awake.  I can go back to sleep after any noise at all.

So...yeah.  It's actually my lunch break right now but I wanted to write everything down just because.  Sorry for the scattery-ness of this post, I didn't have much time to organize it.

Weekly goals!

Hey everyone! I'm blogging from my phone tonight- yet again. I was actually just at my computer but I sometimes enjoy just sitting here blogging straight from my phone. Anyways! This post is going to be about some goals I have for this week.

#1- keep nails pretty and painted. I've always been horrible at this. To be honest... I SUCK at painting my nails. I really do. I have never been able to do them perfectly. Wait. Not true. Usually if I spend a lot of time doing them and get them to look good, I end up smudging or smearing them somehow. Patience? Not my thing. So this week I'm going to paint my nails a pretty, simple color, I'm going to put a top coat on every day after that and TRY to keep them neat for a week. I hope this works out. It's embarrassing being my age and not knowing how to paint my nails correctly!

#2- eat healthy. Lately I've been justifying a lot of bad food. I know that's normal during the holiday season but even if it's 'normal', it's not healthy and there's no excuse. So I'm going to eat a balanced, healthy breakfast every morning, I'm not going to load my coffee up with spices and milk anymore and I'm going to try to say no to sweets and stuff throughout the day. Let's hope I can do this because if I can't get healthy for one week, I've got bigger problems.

#3- do Blair Fowler 2010 eyeliner. Do you know her from JuicyStar07 on YouTube? Well the way she did her eyeliner in 2010 was SO CUTE. I'm going to try to do my makeup like that every day this week and see how it goes and if I like it.

#4- do a sugar scrub every three days. My face has been breaking out lately for the past week or two. Why? I currently can't afford my normal face wash. When I use that stuff every morning and night, my skin is clear as a perfect blue sky. This new stuff is making me break out, though. I'm hoping that a periodical face scrub will help exfoliate and keep my skin clear despite the crappy wash.

#5- plan my outfit for each day the night before. I used to ALWAYS do this and it was such a good habit for me. If I don't plan my outfit out for the next day every night, the next morning I'll sit around for like half an hour waiting to get anything done. Getting up, getting dressed and feeling ready for the day first thing in the morning not only saves me time but helps me to be productive that day, as weird as it sounds.

So yeah! Those are my goals for this week! I hope I can complete all of them! I'll hopefully do a few blogs on my process with them. Have a good night, blogspot!

*I apologize for any grammar or spelling errors; blogging on my phone makes that a little less preventable than usual.*

Hopefully everything this weekend goes according to plan, because if it does, this weekend is going to ROCK.  MY.  SOCKS.

Yes, no?

I think I like my new winter-editing strategy.
How about you guys?  Do you like it?   If things go according to plan and the weather doesn't mess things up, then I'm doing a shoot this Sunday for a family.  I'm SO going to use this editing on a few of their photos.  I'm so excited. *squeals*

Little Vlog!

Oh, how I love winter. ♥ Pardon my mess of a room.  Enjoy!
